Poems (OLD STUFF)  Reply with quote

Words are like wheat,
alone are merely grain,
but when you add some heat,
the words can ease the pain.

MIND OVER MATTER

TRAPPED

Death would be bliss,
if preceded by this.
An unending torture
of mind
and of body
the consequences grim
as always
forever
the soul must survive
perpetually cast in spirit
and in matter...

WALLS

The human mind clamors
for someplace to call home
so it builds a wall of flesh
its body
then it builds up walls of thinking
to protect its sanity
but remains eternally insane
so it never learns
what it's like to be
but prefers to let decay claim the wall of flesh
to die
and only then
will it learn
the meaning of its existence...
Nothing.

A LOST SOUL

He cringed in fear of death
his mind a blank steel trap
he breathed his life's last breath
his life out with a flap
didn't see it coming
couldn't see it clear
couldn't bear to part
with anything so dear
a hidden view of how it was to take wing
didn't want to lose it
but loss was all in the pit
hell had come to claim his soul
but all it foud were lumps of coal
in the pit a mass is held
the heat enough to searing weld
he'd been lied to
he'd been told
that Hell Itself was very cold.
