cooking spoon question

does anyone know what that big cooking spoon with the big ass hole in the middle is called? they are usually made of wood and are flat like a spatula.

no no no i'm talkin one HUGE hole in the middle of the spoon i've only ever seen two, one in my grandma's kitchen and one in heylia's kitchen on weeds.
my sister has decided she likes them and i want to get her one for christmas only i don't know what the hell they are called.

the hole makes liquids swirl more when you stir. It helps sauces to become smoother and emulsify better. If your making risotto, polenta or oatmeal it makes it creamer.

I always thought that hole was used to put in the correct amount of spaghetti noodles into a pot for one person. It's worked for me anyways.
