I'm new!

Hi!
After days of trying to get my activation code, {and doing some careful posting and e-mailing} I'm finally a member here!

Thanks to whoever it is that helped me, for if you sent me an e-mail telling me that I was activated, well somehow I didn't get it. {stupid AOL}

Anyway I love Christopher Moore's books. And I have a funny story attached to the book You Suck.

When the book came out, I was intrigued by a review in USA Today and was on an ultimate search for it {little did I know how hard it is to find his books in the Borders in my small a$$ town}

I finally found the book at the library and started reading.

Only to be confused and not know at all that the book is a sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends. So after I found that info out, I just basically told the back of my head "Hey don't worry, these jokes and story will make more sense after you read that other book." and continued reading.

I'd like to say that you know your work is good and funny when someone can come in completely blind and still end up squirting milk out of her nose while reading, or cry at the end because it's so sweet.

Now note, I still haven't read BF.....because somehow my library missed the memo on how it's a sequel and all.

Right now I'm reading Fool, {just got to the second act} and I just bought Bloodsucking Fiends.

I cannot say enough good things about this guy. When all my friends became Twitards {Twilight+retards=Twitards} I was trying to make them read Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck. {none of them ever did}.

Well they are still my friends. But now that I actually own BF I'm gonna make them borrow it. They need to get acquainted with an author that doesn't make money raping a thesaurus.

huh?

Authors can make money by raping a thesaurus? You gotta go to a special school to learn this? Or have some kind license? This isn't porn or one of those work-at-home scams is it? And what's the pay scale look like for a good thesaurus humper these days, anyway?

You never lend the Moore books. You simply tell people that they MUST buy one or reserve one from the library. Never, I repeat, never, lend them!

^^I'd offer up virtual pie if I were you. It might get kinda expensive to ship real pie to everyone! As a reminder, I'd like cherry pie.
