Newborns are perfect for travel: they are extremely portable and compact.

The problem arises when packing -- the sheer volume of accessories necessary for newborns strains credulity. Even on short jaunts to friends' houses, I found myself taking practically everything we owned for the kid, just in case... But I learned the hard way: if I didn't bring it, I would need it. Desperately. So I brought it all.

That's the theory behind my backpack, which has nothing baby related in it so far...

Come up to DC again! Babies are very portable. Early on, we learned not to bring absolutely everything. There are essentials, but you don't need a lot of entertainment-type items. They're satisfied with very mediocre everyday items. Just make sure she's fed before the event, and she'll probably sleep through the whole thing.

cuz I gotta sleep sometime!

If we had the teleporter, I'd so be there but I don't know if we could leave the store that long,
much less a 12-hour road trip with 2 tiny bladders...

Then again, if we did have the teleporter,
I get the feeling we'd all be the 21st century version of deadheads
& follow on the whole tour & then I'd bring all y'all to my store to recover...

why not contact HC and see if they'll add your store to the tour?

Even if they don't this time, you'll've begun priming the pump for next time.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be willing to order their copies through your store in order to hype your sales numbers.

Believe me, we were considering it before but it was too close to my due date to commit-
well, when considering that both of us were past full term...

We'll discuss it but it's pretty hectic right now for lotsa reasons
though we may be able to sort things out by the next tour,
provided our building's big enough to host a Southern AG show-
ask anybody that went to the last one, we were packed in like sardines!

I'm also not sure if the main website's still up, we had some issues with it
& planned on switching to another one & I'll have to find out more myself...
