So what's the official birth date? Weight, length? Name?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been MIA for a number of reasons but have been thinking about you since you announced the pregnant state. I'm glad everything went well, even though you had to have the C section. So did I, and the post-surgery morphine was definitely trippy. Didn't do that too long though. Best to have a healthy baby than to stress about how she gets here.
Yay for you! _________________ kthxbai

Ugh, my sympathies on the C-section, but very happy to hear you and she are doing well afterwards. And again, congrats.
P.S: What SL said - baby details, we need baby details.
Sternly avoiding the phrase "pictures or it didn't happen", too.

2-10-12
4lbs 12oz, 17"
Sophia Lyntella (let's see if anybody can guess the orgin )
Pics, we'll have to work on cuz my husband's taken a bunch with his phone
& my phone won't take or accept pics, trying to find a way he can email them...
BTW, I always figured I'd have to get a c-section based on the narrowness of my pelvis
but this tiny girl might've fit if she'd been facing the right direction-
oh well, like my friend said, only I could manage have a baby without going into labor...

I've got no idea about the origin, but what immediately came to mind was Emily Litella.
Sophia's very pretty for a very tiny baby. _________________ kthxbai

Sophia- wisdom, root word of philosophy
& a name several folks called my grandmother but not her actual name-
surprisingly normal for us if ya don't know the derivation...
Then there's this, which I didn't know about til later:
Lyntella- probably misspelled, but it comes from the Hitchhiker radio series-
we were looking for an unusual long name with a common short form & this worked...
As of yesterday, she's gained half a pound & somebody has a pic sent from my husband's phone-
there should be more on the hospital website, when I can find the exact link...

My last one was a polaroid- still not totally used to this century-
but now that I think about it, there's a video camera in our possession somewhere-
probably at the store, in need of a charge, if I know us...
Just gotta remind Daddy of all this...

Believe it or not, we didn't even discuss it as a possibility before-
we mostly ruled out cursed names & I was about to request ideas-
I just came out with it in the recovery room, though I'd been quietly considering it...

It's kinda like she's been a good luck charm & she's certainly made us happy-
my husband already had 6 nieces & nephews & wasn't gung ho about the idea of having kids
but you should see him with our little daddy's girl now...
