Where did you get the idea that random strangers get all up in your bizness on facebook? I don't have random strangers all up in my bizness, and I've been on facebook for years.

You are the one to decide who is a "friend" on facebook. You can friend only people you know personally, or anyone whose posts you enjoy. You can have 10 friends, or a thousand. You can set your profile so that none but friends can view it. You can set it so that friends can post on your wall, or that no one at all can post on your wall. If you happen to like random strangers being all up in your bizness, you can set it up that way, too.

I'm not trying to persuade you to love facebook, mind you. I just want you to hate it for real reasons, not misconceptions. Wink

***edited to correct a horrible grammar error that Feef would have pounced upon, had he not [more or less] permanently defected to facebook. Laughing

I'll be glad to go into greater ranty detail when I'm having a better day with more time-
for now, let's just say:

1. I'm feeling a distinct loss of privacy & anonymity IRL

2. Telling me that is kinda like saying they're now serving tuna salad at the opera
when I'd love to see both go the way of the dodo

I know how this shit works, I've been on MySpace for years,
I'm now on Twitter & intrigued by Pinterest-
I just hate this particular network & have since long before everybody was doing it-
not even mad about it right now, just really, really tired from real stuff...

Great Keys pic BeerGnome! Very Happy And I love the fb/CIA connection, Wonko! Confused
What have I been up to???
Well, real estate prices have gotten so low in Florida that even I was able to buy a small place on the water an hour south of here. Of course it's a handyman special, so I've been doing a lot of work on the place and it's finally looking pretty good. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
And in between the cleaning and painting and tile work and roof work I also managed somehow to complete book #10. Shocked
So, new book and even a new name....

I'm hoping to have another one finished by the end of the year and have both printed then...
Also waiting to see what kind of flack I get over the author name. Changes are a lot easier to make on ebooks than already-printed paperbacks. Wink

Just drinking my body weight in Miller Lites, working for the man.

As for recipes, I've been working on Bloody Mary Deviled Eggs recipe: here's what I got so far

6 eggs (hard-boiled, yada, yada, yada)
3 TBSPs Mayo
2.5 TBSPs Tomato Paste
2 TSPs Worcester Sauce
2 TSPs Horseradish
splashes of Hot sauce

Season with celery salt and S&P

Instructions: Deviled egg that shit up!

I need a way to keep the spiciness though, I'm thinking of reducing the egg yolks from 6 to 4 to reduce the amount of mayo needed for creaminess. Also, I'm thinking of using Lemon Vodka in a spray bottle to mist the eggs before serving.

Another thought was to freeze olives then zest over the eggs before serving.

A third thought was to add horseradish root to mayo, but that might a horrible experience trying to strain out.

Like I said, work in progress.

That sounds interesting. Let us know how they taste.

As the deviled egg queen, I'd like to make a couple of observations. If you reduce the amount of egg yolks, you're going to lose that essence of deviled egg. The tomato paste should help with the creaminess if you reduce the mayo. Feel free to consult with me when you actually make the attempt. I'm assuming that this is purely theoretical, though I may have to try it myself. I just happen to have three hard-boiled eggs awaiting deviling in the fridge right now.

Non. The recipe as stated above is (without possible future suggestions) tried and true. Tomato Paste adds zero creaminess. Tomato Paste and Cooked Yolk = Cement. I have a picture of my first batch of these with only tomato paste, no mayo... they look like a deviled eggs sorbet without actually being cold.

Well, don't leave out any mayo. Maybe use tomato juice instead of tomato paste.

Idea If I could eat plain eggs & was gonna make this,
I'd probably use cream cheese instead of mayo-
for heat, I got lotsa options, some of which even cut through sour cream...

Oh, & when I drank Bloody Marys, we always used soy sauce instead of Worcester Sauce
& made sure there was some garlic in there-
half the time, we'd use V8 instead of regular tomato juice...
