I do believe you'd approach the cement result with cream cheese. But sour cream instead of mayo would be good, or maybe Greek yogurt. I may have to try that. First I need some sour cream or yogurt. I've got the eggs. Need to do those today sometime.

use cayenne or wasabe powder to press the spiciness with out shifting the bloody mary experience. Substituting buttermilk for some of the mayo may make it a bit creamier.

Spice Islands has powdered wasabe without coloring

Thanks for the tips all! I like the idea that my next 5 weekends will be spent making and eating different variations of Bloody Mary-ed deviled eggs. (This is all in preparation for a Bloody-Mary competition my coworkers and I are holding next month.)

Though, I'm loving the idea of Cayenne pepper (picked some up tonight for the first time, holy crap! Awesome!). It's at the point where I'm actually considering replacing the Tabasco sauce in my Bloody Marys with the pepper. Tabasco sauce kinda adds a weird tangy/vinegar taste I never really cared for, but found necessary for heat.

@Zen: Admittedly, the Soy Sauce Bloody Mary sound bizarre.
They didn't become too salty?
Or did you have access to some sort of pepper that was banned in the US that cut through all the sweetness/saltiness of any other flavor? Wink

Also waiting to see what kind of flack I get over the author name. Changes are a lot easier to make on ebooks than already-printed paperbacks. Wink

How many titles do you have, and how are they selling??

I have a sort of technical/DIY e-book that I'm thinking of publishing on Kindle. The traditional publishers in this subfield don't pay anything. I need to re-do some of the CAD work first, though, due to a hard drive crash. (Thanks, Seagate! The only drives I've ever lost data on.)

If you just want to add some heat, add a little habanero juice. VERY little!!! Shocked Then you can worry about flavor as a separate issue.

(Maybe habaneros taste like something to other people; to me they just taste like PAIN!!!)

With cream cheese, I was actually thinking more about the new cooking cremes:

http://www.kraftbrands.com/philly/Pages/default.aspx

Several different flavors but I haven't tried any yet...

Though you might have better luck with the Sandwich Spreads made to replace mayo:

http://www.mezzetta.com/

Only 1 we've tried is the Peperoncini & Feta, which rocks!

As for heat, pick yer poison cuz it's all good:

http://www.asskickin.com/

@Hairy, habaneros actually taste sweet, if ya can dilute the heat-
when we can, we go here:

http://www.pepperpalace.com/

& get this Habanero Strawberry Jelly, among other tasty treats:

http://www.pepperpalace.com/category_s/83.htm

BTW, Worcester Sauce usually has anchovies in it-
I don't eat fish, much less drink it, so soy sauce is the best replacement I can find-
they used to have a hot sauce with tamarind in it,
something else in Worcester Sauce but good luck finding it...

I'd feel bad about jacking BG's thread if I didn't know he was a foodie... Wink
