It's a truly beautiful collection of writing.

Chuck Palahniuk does push the borders of accepted violence. In my country it is an extreme way for finding God. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Seriously, though Geralds Game was far more disturbing than Misery. I do have to say Mr. King's real people monsters are nearly always far more terrifying than most anything.

The only book on that list that I have read is Geek Love. I didn't find it as much 'disturbing' as I did boring. I kept trying to figure out why the guy who recommended it to me thought it was such a great book.
