I honestly never thought I would live this long. Now I don't know what to do with myself.

This might sound dramatic, but that was one of the most powerful things I've ever read. I laughed, I got a tear, I sat dejected, I laughed again, I scowled.

And now I am in dismay. What a crazy crazy crazy world we live in.

I'm so naive. God, I want to believe so badly that people in power can be rational and good and honest. That religions can focus on ... Huh ... Love, or at a minimum ... common decency.

Oh and Chris ... Love the new avatar. I'm going to brood now. (and by that, I don't mean sit on eggs, I mean it the other way. Though if ideas were eggs, I might be sitting on them.)

I totally agree with everything that you've said! (but the sacastic humor wasn't lost on me as well) I especially admired the last lines of the last paragraph: "everyone will remember that we are all bound together by our humanity, and that at the heart of that humanity is human frailty, for which we must all forgive each other."
Thank you for your humorous take on a very disturbing subject (In my opinion, W. is an pompous ass and has weakened our country and the economy...but I'll be damned if he isn't good at bombing the shit out of stuff..It's time to put those talents to good use!)
