A Question of No Importance

If a man from, say, 1870 time-travelled to our present, what do you think would kill him first? a) the pollution in our air and water? b) the additives and preservatives in our food? c) the massive assault of information and mass media? d) Other.

I'd say the time travel would get to him first. There has been only four successful time travels. Or two depending on how you look at it. The Philidelphia experiment and the Montock Project. Allthough both were connected and only two men survived it was four travels through time. Or two jumps both ways. At any rate both men almost died and the one left now is most definatley insane. Everyone else was stuck in the bulk heads as the ship they were trying to make invisible fluxed. Clearly time travel itself would cause more permanant damage than any enviornmental causes.

Allthough the traveler might just get caught up in a nougat fetish and die from over eating.

I'ld go with car or drive-by... either that or he would just get hauled off to the looney bin, where he can enjoy nice quiet evenings chatting with Gearoge Washington, Abe Lincholn, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry the 8th over a nice bowl of pudding... which come to think of it, isn't such a bad thing...

I'm guessing...if he managed to get here okay, without dying from shock or something...yeah, probably a traffic accident. Actually...there wouldn't be any way for him to get food, really.
