Hi, my name is Derek, and I'm a bloodsucking fiend. I'm a 23 year old college student who's not from Canada.


In addition to loving all of AG's books -- LAMB being my absolute favorite -- I like black coffee, music, irony, sushi, unintentionally hilarious public service announcements, Snap and Pop... definitely not Crackle, the slinky, yelling "Atreyu!! Atreyu!!" when appropriate, making nerdy pop culture references then judging others based on their reactions, black magic, calling up Rick Astley and leaving tearful voice messages asking why he gave me up//made me cry//said goodbye//told a lie//and hurt me, sarcasm, the incoherent ramblings of crazy people, determining the exact ratio of 'wrong ways' vs. 'right ways' to eat a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, playing obnoxiously loud music when the couple in the adjoining apartment is having obnoxiously loud sex - songs that completely kill the mood like 'You Sexy Thing', 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy', or 'Sea Cruise' - alliteration, and general zaniness.
