^^^ Plus, when Judith and her maid get back home to show all the peeps the head of the slain Holofernes, she tells them, "As the Lord lives, who has protected me in the path I have followed, I swear that it was my face that seduced Holofernes to his ruin, and that he did not sin with me to my defilement or disgrace." (13:16, NAB, online).

Does that mean she gave him head and then got his to go? Confused

At the very least, Judy gave good face.

(Like Rita Hayworth. Just ask Madonna.)

Any one take a moment to think that maybe the Hebrews were just trying to record their history in the way that they perceived it and that the story is being analyzed too much? Besides the book was probably written by a man and not really in the point of view or the first person account of Judith. It was most likely originally written in Aramaic or Hebrew too and there is always confusion upon translation in anything. Maybe she was raped, maybe she seduced him, maybe green pigs with purple polka-dots once flew through the air on shiny golden-feathered wings.

By the way, how did she manage not to get any blood on her... that stuff gets everywhere.

Have you ever seen the TV movie Lizzie Borden, starring Elizabeth Montgomery?

According to that re-telling, she managed to keep the blood off of her clothes very easily, if I recall. Cool
