Ha! You know, I've never understood baby speak when talking to babies..."Goo goo, ga ga!" and such... it's like, you want your child to develop, right? Why not use real words?

I'd love to see a middle aged man in a suit in the park holding his baby in the park, and saying stuff like, still in the baby-speak voice though, "And Canada's trade sanctions are totally going to inflate the market, totally inflate the market, isn't that right? Who's my girl?? Ahhh."

he actually speaks pretty well, but I still have to make it simple so he can understand. But his face when he is thinking it ADORABLE. His face gets all scrunched up and serious. and he's all hmmmm.

but yeah, trying to put everyday words into simplest terms-not so easy

For his thinking, I guess giving him one of those Sherlock Holmes' pipes would be totally out of the question, huh?

Maybe a bubble pipe- or do they still make those?

Oh yeah, at the risk of going on-topic:
I can't post photos on here myself-
the most recent ones of me are already posted somewhere around here-
you know, the signing in Decatur...

Some of us avoid having our souls captured by the camera-
but I did look at lotsa old pics last night while going through my grandmother's things... Wink

Bubble pipes are too colorful, ruin the effect. Smile

And it's sorta weird, looking at grandparents' pictures.
It's like having your own Wayback Machine.

For whatever reason growing up, I acknowledged my parents must have been kids at some point, but never my grandparents.
They were adults in my mind. Always. That's how they were made.

My grandfather passed away recently, so we did the whole looking through pictures thing. It was really bizarre looking at pictures of my grandparents from the 50's.
"Pshh, you guys were never 20, get out of here! Did you make this in photoshop??"

Laughing Laughing Laughing I would love to see my great uncle trying to use photoshop!

the weirdest for me was seeing baby photos of myself. I was in my early twenties the first time I saw a baby picture of myself. All the embarrassing ones, the cute ones, incriminating ones. And then seeing family pictures of all this family I didnt know, but there I was with them...

yeah.

a bubble pipe would be so cute, but yeah. Prolly shouldnt do it. We all smoke (outside of course) and we dont really want him imitating that behavior. He hasnt yet, and Im sure his mom wouldnt like me encouraging it. but it would be super cute. he has the perfect face for it!

Too late. Besides, you need the picture in front of you to make the correct inappropriate comments. Razz Smile

But I DO look like that!

Except for the longer beard, and the wicker-style rocking chair, and the Russian army officer's uniform, and the fact that Repin never made a painting of me, and, ... and, ...

Well I think we all know what Chris looks like. If I could make a compact ASCII arrow pointing up and to the right I would.

Amigo, I didn't want to litter the picture post with comments, but DAMN you know how to relax. I always imagined from your avatar that you had your elbows resting on a boring table or something.
