Ohh, see you didn't say that to begin with, so I wasn't cognizant that Satan is trying to down play his powers and stuff.
Why don't you have him/her be a ad executive with a wife in the suburbs where he tries to fit in and never use his powers? He could have nosey neighbors who are pretty sure there is something a little strange about the family next door. His wife could be named Samantha, or if Satan is indeed a she, her husband could be called Darrin, or maybe Satan is a same sex situation, then his/ her significant other could use one of these names. Seems like a sure fire recipe for comedy!
If Satan is an it, and has no real gender, then I guess it's back to the drawing board for me.
