After a co-worker was made to evacuate her home because of the fires we are having here in SoCal, we began a discussion of what we consider important enough to grab in such a situation. Now, family, pets and important papers were not up for discussion - they were a given. What we were talking about were material things. It was really very telling of our respective likings. I thought I'd put up my two favorite things and ask others to do the same. Smile

The first thing I'd grab. I'd even hitch it under my arm if I had to. Love-love-love this thing! Oh yeah, just ignore the fingerprints! I didn't know they were there.

Okay, second up is my Honda. I know, it's ugly as sin - my husband says it is a fifty footer - but it was my dream car in high school and I still love it. Someday it will be renovated and will be beautiful again!

Well, I can't post pictures, but I think the things I'd try to save would be my CDs and books. Which would be tough, since I only have 2 hands. I'd probably burn up trying to drag a tote full of books--that weighs more than I do--out of the house! Wink

As much as I would like to save my books, I think I would have to grab my daughter's fave stuffed toys. She won't go to sleep without them.

my guitar and my laptop / jump drive. The laptop has may pictures and all my writing. I've had the guitar since I was 10 and it's what I turn to when my life turns to shit for comfort.
