Maddie you have no right to tell me not to appologize, if I offend I should have the right to apologize. So don't look down on me just because you have a better scense of humour than I do...highschooler Razz

I would really like to be able to play guitar like Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen), Jimi(Hendrix), and/or Tom Morello(RATM and Audioslave) or even someone crappy for that matter.

Even though the man wrote the song, I'm amazed everytime I see Clapton play "Tears In Heaven" flawlessy, without even looking.

I took piano for 7 years and I still suck. I would be happy to play like Schroeder from Peanuts.

I do play djembe in a local drum circle as to occasionally stimulate my right brain. I guess Mickey Hart is a good choice for djembe.

Right so, i can play guitar, well sort of. I can play punk guitar, the EASIEST kind in the world. Oh how i love power chords.... i'd love to guitar like gary moore, from the Lizz of course.

I can sing too! Or so people say. I used to sing in a band. But my favourite singer, i should probably say vocalist, is Serj from System of a down. such a ledge (as in legend).

I used to play violin, viola, and cello. I was adequate. Never could make first chair.

I can sing, but I think I actually was better when I smoked. Since I'm not a recording artist, I guess my voice doesn't matter so much, so that's okay. Wink

I would love to play drums. I don't think I'd be very good though. I don't think I could be coordinated enough to do one thing with my foot and something else entirely with my hands. My body parts seem to like to all do the same thing at the same time.

Oh, I could play a mean recorder in the fifth grade. The teacher had me play for the whole class -- I could even play "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin on it! Glory days.....::sigh::

This is an old thread but I'm going to post anyway in the chance that somebody might stumble across it.

Bass guitar....Stanley Clark! None of his recordings compare to the man live. He does things with the Bass guitar that are amazing. He can make the bass guitar sound like the most sweetest classical music you can imagine. No pick player here guys.

Geddy Lee... is a master. I love that about Rush. You can HEAR the bass and all the intricate notes he is playing. Neil Peart is a God. His drumming aside he is a great lyrisist and author.

Back in the day Steve Harris of Iron Maiden.

Les Claypool of Primus!

Flea is great. He has flair, he slaps that bass like no other and does it so well in a tube sock!

My family couldn't be the Partridge family, we all play bass. Wink

At one time in my life I was an aspiring singer. I went to college intending to study jazz vocals, but to hard work and competitiveness ruined the fun that I considered music to be. I play a little guitar (emhasis on "a little"). I've played rhythm guitar in a couple groups in which I sang lead and backup vocals. None of these groups were very serious. Mostly a bunch of people finding an excuse to jam.

In a perfect world, I'd play like Eric Johnson. I also love Mark Knopfler and Tommy Emmanuel.
