Hey AG, catch42 and I are planning to see you in Dayton Apr 12 but when we call the book store to reserve books we get a generic answer on their machine.
is that the right number?
they better not run out of books or a roit will break out.
when you do a show, bookstores usually have alot of copies on hand dont they?
and whats up with not letting us Moore ons take a photo with ya...thats booty! ha ha!
As for the photo thing, that's not up to them. That's up to me. They don't know that yet, but they will _________________ LOOK!.....A SEAGULL!

They should have enough books. The reserve thing is usually just for people who can't be there. It does seem like there's going to be a buttload of people in Dayton though -- either that or all 20 are e-mailing me. I'll send a note to my PR guy to make sure they have enough books -- or at least try.

Oat, isn't Detroit a lot closer to you than Dayton? Just wondering. I think you just have your militia call their militia and you're allowed to cross state lines.
My Google maps shows Birmingham, MI about an hour ten minutes away, and Dayton about 2 1/2 hours. Just sayin'.

I guess we'll go to Detroit. Mrs. Goudron has a cousin there we need to visit anyway. Dayton's closer, but it's a weekday, and I don't want to get all crowded and stuff. Like nobody will be in Detroit. By choice that is _________________ White and feathery, yet crude and noisy, the chicken is the backbone of our farming community.

Hey Chris,
I was curious about the reference to Hemmingway in the new book. I was wondering if it was intentional or not. I am speaking of A Clean, Well Lighted Place.

BTW: I asked this in So You Wanna Be A Writer as well but I will delete the post there. _________________ I feel the same way about disco as I do about herpes. -HST
In a way, yes it does, but in a way no. I loved that story of Hemingway’s. I thought it would have been cool to have a referral to one of the greatest short stories ever told.
Thanks.

I have downloaded (purchased from iTunes) the audiobook of Job because I wanted to listen to it on the long trip I was taking ...first to Chicago for the booksigning and then to New England for vacation. Have also bought two hard copies (one from B&N online when it first was annaounced as available for pre-order - i was SO excited - and one from the bookstore in Naperville for the signing. I don't usually buy audiobooks because I just love the act of reading books, but the guy who does the reading (well its more like acting I think) of Job on audiobook does fantastic work. Kudos for the selection Chris! _________________ The BIGGEST "like bear" CM Fan

Thanks, but I didn't even know who did it until it showed up on Amazon. Glad he did a good job.
