Cranberry yogurt dessert  Reply with quote

Came up with this the other week:

Get a bowl suitable for eating your morning cereal (or a bowl slightly larger, depending on the amount of the ingredients you use -- you could experiment with something tall, like a parfait glass, I suppose, that that's a little too "froo-froo" for me. Smile ).

Place the following ingredients in the bowl in this order from the bottom:

    ca. 1 cup plain yogurt
ca. 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce
a few tablespoons of Grape Nuts (or its demonstrated equivalent -- your grocery store might have a house-brand version -- tastes the same to me!) -- enough to make a crunchy addition to every bite
a tablespoon or so of wheat germ (optional -- kids might not care for this Rolling Eyes )
You might think that this recipe would be too tart, but it is isn't, if the cranberry sauce is sweetened (as is usual).
