Hey ...

These are a couple entries into my book cover contest, and I was wondering what you think.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

What do you think?

Knikkki, I can't see your author's name on the first design. Does the artist plan to put that in, or is it actually there somewhere?

No, it's not on there for now. My publisher will overlay it with a true font, vs. handwritten. (should that be the cover selected)

I picked "B"

I like the design better overall, but IMO it would be far more appealing if it wasnt quite so busy. I would suggest losing the scroll/vine work in the background.

I would pass by a book with cover B because it would seem like a children's book. The Musicians of Bremen for instance. But cover A though not so tight an art-work would make me go like "Okay joker here. Some action. Maybe funny. I will work it in between spaces."

I went with "B" because it looks like an old 1960's rock poster- that would get my attention in a store!
Then again, I have on more than one occasion picked up a book just because I liked the style of the letters on the spine.
