I'm a fan of Chris' and was thinking of joining for a while...

I randomly purchased a copy of Bloodsucking Fiends when I was around fifteen; I liked the cover art of Vampire Jody & thought the book would be interesting (and who says you CAN'T judge a book by it's cover?). I've read all the other books since. My favorite is Lamb. And I'm in love with Molly Michon.

I read, I write, I'm not really what my occupation says, nor is my real name Heather Chandler (but I love the movie Heathers and Heather Chandler was such a cold, awesome bitch), and I want to see Grindhouse.

Welcome, Heather. We're always ready for new faces around here, even if the avatar does ring a bell. Now, put the needle down and back away slowly. Yes, thaaat's a good newb.

You should start by checking out the rules and giving them all the respect they deserve. I commend you on already having found Who's Who, and responding appropriately. You might also want to take TheGetting To Know You Survey, check out the pictures in I've been staring so long... the silliness in The Origins of your User Name and Another Questionnaire. If you'd like to tell us more about yourself those are great items to get you going.

Restrict spoilers about 'A Dirty Job' to that specific forum.

Watch out for the pica stick, thagomizer and stubor. Don't drink the kool-aid (no matter what Ja says), indulge in the pie, and watch out for the pudding cannon. And worship the divas. Think of them as our own Heathers, but with better aim.

We're off kilter (and off-color), but mostly harmless. Except for Conspiracies Unlimited. He's completely harmless. And ignore moonshine, who's just keyed up because I haven't prescribed any remedial nudity yet.

So - stack, strip, and start postin'. And don't make me call She Who Must Be Obeyed. She and I are getting together next week to compare notes on newbies, and you should don't want to be on the down side of someone who buys needles by the case. Big needles.

Haha, Shermer's not a real place. It's a fictional town John Hughes made up. He uses it in a lot of his movies (The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Sixteen Candles...). I really do wish I lived there, seems like such a great town...

sgt_steve, thanks for the topic suggestions. I'll keep an eye out for them.

And hello everyone Smile
