I am clearly retarded*  Reply with quote

Well, maybe not retarded, but slooooow.

I just realized, just now, months after starting, that all four of my main characters have names starting with the letter J. No reason, no rhyme. I even re-named some of them earlier from non-J names. If J was a number I'd play it in the Lotto (but my math would suck).

What's the record for longest recorded brain-fart?

LIW

*note: no offense is meant to any retarded people, semi-retarded people, slow people, or people who don't know that the left lane is for passing. In any comparison to retarded people, I would clearly find myself on the short end of the stick, if not the short bus.

It's ok. Names that start with J are the best. Cool

I have a Matthew and Luke in my book, and didn't realize it until the ARC came out.

It might be interesting to see how all the people with the same beginning letter might be inter-weaved within a story and how they are put together. This could be confusing to some but could be played off well.

If the names are different enough from each other, it might not matter.

"Jehoshaphat" would definitely be distinctive. Laughing

Switch one of them to Jesus. I bet he'll stay distinct in most people's minds.

And I completely agree. The left lane IS for passing.

Idiots.

I once wrote a three act play - nice little piece of work but as it turns out ripped off from a play we did in high school called Noises Off - act play and was shocked when a friend pointed out that all the characters were named after Brady kids.

As it turns out I hate the theatre.

In college (don't get excited, it's not that interesting of a story) I was roomates with a Jay, Jace, and a Jamie (and a sarah and a valerie, but that's beside the point) So the J think can happen in real life!
