Ha, that's all I know about it!!! I am SO glad I am not an English lit major....this is provable....(however the theory of selective pressure quoted in the article is debatable...) Laughing

Secrets of The Dead on PBS did an episode on plague and HIV: Mystery Of The Black DeathSeems that the same gene that afforded resistance to Bubonic Plague also affords resistance to HIV/AIDS. Africa was mostly spared the ravages of the plague and consequently has a huge population with no genetic resistance to HIV which explain the much higher rates of infection.

Yeah, well; that, and that whole eating monkey brains, slicing off genitals with shards and rubbing virginal blood over themselves for its healing powers thing they've got going on over there.

Well, this was supposed to be for regions where formula wasn't an option due to no clean water and where unfortunately uninfected mothers are few like they example they showed Nairobi slums...... Sad Or Haiti for instance.
Geez, what people could do with 60 billion.....
You know, we could do things, and we need the money for things... you know finding out things, because if we don't things could happen... Cool

Yes, but will it destroy the bubonic plague the monkeys caught from the squirrels at the zoo?
