The Obligatory Introduction Post  Reply with quote

Someone suggested I should come over here and introduce myself, so here I am! Hi! I'm Heather, 21 years old, from Illinois. My first (and still favorite) Moore book was A Dirty Job, which I read in July. Since then, I've read Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck, and Practical Demonkeeping, and I'm nearing the end of Coyote Blue. I'm also reading Philip Pullman's The Amber Spyglass, and I just finished Stephen Colbert's I am America last week. Oh, and I love me some Harry Potter, too. Other books I like and such can be found on my Goodreads.com profile.

Very Happy Welcome!

Have some cocoa, it'll warm you for the strip search-
did you bring pie?

If not, get on that right away- these fruitbats love their pie!

So... strip, stack & keep posting- & go read the rules if the first part of this sentence confused you...

Hello!

Welcome to the board.
Here are the Rules, be forewarned that infringement is punished very severely Laughing But once you read them you will know what we require of you to satisfy our amusement. Don't worry, they'll be other noobs for you to haze, I mean welcome some day... it's a "circle of life" kinda thing Very Happy

How do you like Pullman? Have you read the other 2 books in the HDM Trilogy? I got most of the way through "The Golden Compass" but the names kept confusing me, so I'll have to try again sometime.

Cheers!

Welcome, Geek!

You MUST read Lamb! (OK, you MUST read all of CM's books...but read Lamb!)

I really enjoyed Pullman's trilogy - how are you liking it?

- I really, really hope they do a better job on Golden Compass (known as Northern Lights where I'm from...) than they did on Eragon or The Dark is Rising...

Honestly, seeing the trailer, which makes the movie look so good, is the only thing that makes me want to re-try finishing the book.

Welcome, Geekily. Being geekily myself, your obligatory strip search can be downgraded to voluntary Smile

Welcome, Geekily! You know Philip Pullman's doing a 4th book titled "The Book of Dust", right?

WELCOME!
Sorry for the lateness (tardiness to some) but I was otherwise engaged.
Take Gaber up on the Arrogant Bastard, good stuff.
Is there pie?
