...and thanks, MrE, but you missed the post where I already picked up a new computer - also a Toshiba Satellite...the repair guy basically said the same thing you did. So WHY did I buy another satellite? Cuz he said they were better now - and this from a guy who knew he COULD have sold me a way more expensive machine, so hey, I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
