Hah! Stop searching, and it immediately falls into your lap. If you don't mind dealing with Russians of questionable integrity (translation: don't use your debit card, use a 'throwaway' credit card you wouldn't mind having to cancel), you can buy a 128mbps copy of the "I Shall Be Released" version here. If you're primarily interest in the arrangements, 128 bits is good enough.

Ah, for the good old days when they were called allofmp3.com and you could get high bitrate stuff from them.

Wow, that does sound like a cool gig. If I were to plan such a thing, I'd be asking for the Les Yeux Ouverts by the Beautiful South too. In fact, that girl I heard singing at your party would probably sound angelic on that song.

Course, that's all I know of romantic contemporary French songs. All I know of French pop songs I learned from French Kiss Twisted Evil

I often wonder what it would sound like if Ozzy Osbourne did a french song.

that would be the lovely and talented Elle. She grew up in Montreal, so her french is pretty passable. And the performance is just a duo of Bruce and Elle doing an evening of french love songs for a Valentine's Dinner at the Centre Club.

And as it so happens, the duo is most often known as Brel

That. Is. Just. Wrong.

Charlotte Church, urgle. Seriously, I can't think of anything witty or vile enough to express my disgust over all the hype that little no talent, no voice little hack got. She goes flat all over the place, she has a horrible vibrato, she manages to sing in her throat AND her nose, and on top of all the bad technique, she just has a nasty tone quality.

Elle on the other hand is beautiful and has an incredible voice. If she weren't so nice I'd probably have to hate her.

Stranger things have happened- BLONDIE did a song in French...
Everybody knows about the Spanish version of "CALL ME" but nobody mentions "SUNDAY GIRL"...
