Who picks New Years to get born anyway? didn't that disrupt all the bowl games and recovery from the prior evening? I mean really. That's just inconsiderate, that's what that is...

Happy Birthday Amigo.

A Belated, Yet You Haven't Been Here To Know It's A Belated Birthday Poem just for you!

Amigo, you're another year older

Probably having trouble fuckin' and peein'

But alas, I have no sympathy for you at all

While you're skinny dipping in the Caribbean!*

My German-language instructor in undergrad school was from Louisiana (or got his doctorate there, I think). He gave us a couple of Cajun expressions. This is what I remember vaguely, and I'm not sure how to spell the Frenchy words (see italics):

    You're a grand chou-chou.
and
I beat you 6 or 5 times on the nou-nou, che, you couyon!

Thanks, you Mooreons.  Reply with quote

I'm humbled by all of your happy birthday wishes, and apologize for not being here to extend my very best wishes to those of you who celebrated birthdays in my absence. You're all wonderful, kind, and caring people, and I value your camaraderie, and zany sense of humor. Despite my outrageous behavior at times, you've always made me feel welcome even though I remain removed from the close relationships many of you have formed.

girlEgirl said, "hey remember when amigo used to hang out here all the time? i miss the homoerotic innuendo.... "

Well, girlEgirl, since the object of my um, er...affection isn't around much anymore, I've lost my "homoerotic" incentive. Not to be maudlin, but life moves on, and circumstances intervene which bring things to an end.

Ah well, good times, well remembered. I'll be back now and then, unless, of course, I trigger some overwrought tantrum from the AG and get told..."And never, ever come back here again."

Well, hey, he who pays the freight makes the rules, but it just isn't the same here now that the specter of censorship roams the threads of the boardello.

Well, Amigo, if you're gonna get all principled about it, ya shoulda said something a while back about Palmer's being asked to leave.

Just sayin'. Wink

Anyway, good to hear from you!
