Okay, I had typed up a fairly long post here once and I think I must've hit "preview" instead of "submit" and lost it. Evil or Very Mad

At any rate, Joe told me I should come here and post about me, so here I am. Let the "initiation" begin.

I have been to the board now and then reading a bit, but not too much... I never thought to post before, but now I'm here and ready to party! Razz

I, as everyone here I assume is, am a huge Christopher Moore fan. No, I have not yet read ALL of his books (more because I don't want to not have another book of his to read than anything), but the only ones I haven't read are "You Suck" (gimme a break... I just got it yesterday... I have started it though!), "Fluke", and "Coyote Blue". My top 3 books by Chris are:

1. Bloodsucking Fiends
2. Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove
3. A Dirty Job

I think that "You Suck" is going to get pushed into that list soon though!!! Smile

I currently have about 10k books in my apartment! (I may have to transition out my furniture soon and build new furniture out of my books instead... that should give me some more space! ) I read most every genre... about the only stuff I don't read is sci-fi, Harlequin romances, and most non-fiction. My current fave genres are paranormal romances/mysteries... I just LOVE Vampires!!!

My 2nd favorite author is Terry Pratchett. Which reminds me, I really need to get back into DiscWorld... it's been waaaaaaaay too long!

So 2 questions:

Chris - when are you going to come tour near the Louisville, KY area? Crying or Very sad

Joe - what other questions do you want answered? Oh... I did see you ask someone else, so I'll say now... yes, I am female. Wink

Fire the questions away and I promise to read the "rules" once they get tacked onto my post! Shocked

You can find the rules on the News & Noise section, I think 2nd or 3rd from the top. Being a lady, Goudron will be doing your strip search (annoying, I know, but we gotta take drastic measures to keep Ann Coulter infection down). Be sure to make an offer of pie before he gets here...makes it a lot easier.

Okay, but umm... what kind of pie does he like?

*looks around for ingredients for cherry, apple, peach*

I guess I could just make a variety...

ooooo, someone close to me. Anyhoo- the AG went to Lexington on his last tour. Louisville isn't too far from there, hehe. It was on my way there infact. I'm at Fort Campbell, by the way, teehee.

Welcome to the boards

Well, I'm actually on the other side of the river in Indiana, but basically in Louisvillle... I work there anyway. Razz

I must've missed him coming to Lexington! I hope he comes back as I'd definitely drive down!

Very Happy Very welcome- did somebody say pie?

The rules are at the top of every page in News & Noise, I think. But in a recent post, the AG has stated that the only truly important rules are pie, books, & don't be a fucktard (this last one being the prime directive).
Looks like you've got it covered- have fun!

Ooooooh welcome!

beware of the incoming orcas *one launches itself* and I am apparently the patron saint of chinchillas and orcas.

my chinchillas are the funniest things ever, and I will get a video someday.

and pie?

I like pumpkin, cherry, fruit tarts, and pecan as well as sweet potato, lemon meringue and key lime. Bostom creme is good too.

Howdy. I did the lurking thing for the longest time too. Still mostly lurk, I suppose.

I'm slowly working my way through all 500 Discworld novels currently. I pick one up every 5th book or so. I've only read 6, so I have a long ways to go. "Pyramids" is on deck soon.

And I just started "You Suck" today, myself, so don't feel so bad. But then, I carry no weight around here. Except for Dana Michelle's backpack.
