***prints out copy of New York Times Bestsellers List to put on the altar***

Great news, Chris. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next week or two I have to print out another copy because it went up on the list.

Congrats!

You so totally rock.

- a not-so-random aside -

My wife and mother-in-law (two different people) went shopping the other day, and my wife said she was looking for a book for me. My 66 year old m-i-l asks, innocently enough, "What's the title?"

Her opinion of me is in a downward spiral right now.

Still, you rock.

Two weeks in the top 10, and they still aren't selling it at Wal-mart...that's fucked up.

They'd only want their own special version without blood, satanic creatures, or sex. I'd rather not see it in Wal-Mart, thanks.

You were number 4 on one of our local Seattle lists last week.

The book rocks so of course it is on all the lists.

Hate to say it, but Wal-mart would be a boon to the AG...If every WM stocked 3 copies of YSALS, that would mean millions more copies out there to hook readers.

But they'd make him change the content to suit their clientele. That's just wrong diddly wrong wrong.

Um, have you been spending alot of time with FC, Jeff? They carry Stephen King, UNRATED versions of DVD's, and Al Franken's books. Wal-mart has no say-so on the content of what they sell, as long as it sells. Cept for that whole Sheryl Crow fiasco. That WAS wrong.

LIW, reminds me of my conversation with the sales clerk at the local
book store.
Me: I'd like to order a book.

Clerk: Author ?

Me: Christopher Moore

Clerk: Title?

Me: You Suck

Clerk: Pardon?

Me: The title, You Suck A Love Story.

Clerk: How...nice. *a look of when the vomit just rises to the top,
of the back of your throat, on her face*

I didn't even mind paying full price after that. Twisted Evil

Rock on with your hilarious self Chris! I still think YOU SUCK should be at number one. What's up with all the fucking diet books already?

In the tradition of volumptious nude woman painted during the renaissance period, I'm bringing chubby back.
