What's truly hysterical is that part of the guy's job was to cut down on human trafficking and prostitution.

My husband threatened to use this incident to demonstrate the word 'irony' to his 10th grade English students. Not sure if he actually did or not.

Oh, YEAH!
I really loved hearing this on the news this morning. Laughing
I feel that she should divulge every name involved.
Then we could watch all the rats scurry for cover. Twisted Evil

I get rather suspicious when the media itself suggests restraint in the reporting of any story, as it does not happen often.. I wonder if there are any well known DC media folks on this list. Print the list!

human trafficing and prostitution are not necessarily synonomous... believe it or not, some prostitutes do it willingly...

Oh, I know they aren't synomomous. It's just that the news has been reporting the phrase over and over.

I actually think prostitution should be de-criminalized (so as to empower those prostitutes who are willingly involved, and discourage the pimps who draw unwilling persons into the trade), but's that's another thread.

I just find it beautifully ironic that a guy who HAS linked human trafficking and prostitution, in an administration that suggests that everyone should basically be abstinent unless they are actively trying to reproduce, should be so chock full of kinky monkeys, such as this guy. Razz

I see, that makes sense...

yeah, I agree -- decriminalize it!!!

My dad was a cop, and he and all his buddies felt the same way... they argued that by legalizing it, it would take organized crime out of the picture, and also reduce drug related crimes/dewaths, and reduce the spread of disease...

but alas, sex is bad, and we can't allow that sort of thing to go on without dire consequences...
