I don't know if you all saw this or not, but Nancy Pelosi has officially announced that she will be challenging Nancy Pelosi for her seat in the next election. I'm not sure how qualified she will be to be a politician (but, let's be honest, the qualified ones have been doing a terrific job of fucking it up for over 200 years, so maybe newbies aren't a bad idea), but you have to admire the balls she's got. She is at least willing to try and make a change. I can't imagine her heartache at the loss of her son, and the amount of courage she has to take her anger and pain and channel it to become a "face" of the anti-war movement. Beats the hell out of putting a bumper sticker on your car.

Good luck to her.

Great. An incredibly unqualified new politician whose sole claim to fame is her anti-war stance and no real experience is challenging an established, well connected politician for house speaker. I'd support that only because she'd screw things up so badly through her inexperience and neophyte mistakes that the democrats would no doubt suffer a crushing defeat in the following election.

Time for a third, middle of the road party that would represent most americans. These extremes make me ill.

Maybe with ALL unqualfied politicians, shit would actually get done in our government.

I'd vote for that too. But just Sheehan against the establishment, democrat and republican . . . it would be a slaughter.

I'd vote for her. She can't fuck it up more than it already is... famous last words, I know.
