...I'm naked and the pies are on the table. You got your apple, your snickers mud pie, your cherry, your lemon, your key lime, and a coupla boston cremes...And I solemnly swear that I am not now, nor have ever been, nor dated, a Canadian. (But I do have my eye on one, so, let the flagellation commence.)

I've adored Chris' work ever since I gave myself "The Stupidest Angel" (2.0 version) for Christmas in 2005. Naturally, I emptied my savings account procuring every book he's written (which tells you exactly how bad I am with money). I'm a 36 year old divorced mom of a pre-teen who faithfully and frequently reminds me how old he thinks I am, which is always nice.

For those who take an interest in such things, here are some of my favorite:

Movies: "I Love You To Death", "Moonstruck", "Love, Actually", "300", "Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz"

Bands: Duran Duran, The Bravery, Franz Ferdinand, Hard-Fi, Depeche Mode

Books: Anything by Chris Moore, Douglas Adams, Jasper Fforde, Edgar Allan Poe (that dude was one seriously creepy M-F), the "Undead..." series by MaryJanice Davidson, and the "Twilight" series by Stephanie Meyer

Places: England, San Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis, Long Beach Island (NJ), Coimbra (Portugal), the Cloisters (NYC)

TV Shows: Monk, Psych, Family Guy, South Park, Criminal Minds

Like you, I'm absolutely itching for another Chris Moore masterpiece (but that shouldn't affect the strip search--I mean, physical).

I like you already for 3 reasons:

1 - You have excellent taste in things

2 - You brought pie with candy bars in it

and

3 - Your sig line is from "A Princess Bride".

Welcome to the board Very Happy

Goudron will be along to administer your ACCSS just as soon as your nipples are at peak attention from the cold. If you'd like to expedite the process, please step outside for a bit.

After the ACCSS you may strategically drape yourself with household pets for warmth for your 3 months of newbness.

Thanks for the welcome and cocoa, y'all. (I hail from Southern Westchester County, NY, so I reckon that accounts for my crap accent.)

Jillopy, your avatar totally cracks me up, in stick figure form. I remember seeing this in real life on the subway a coupla years ago. Some chick sitting down, her beau standing and un-subtly thrusting his hips in the general direction of her mouth. She caught my eye at some point and gave me a pleading sorta smile as though asking me if I didn't find her boyfriend charming beyond words. Ick.

And I think I will disregard the whole pets-as-drapery thing...I don't typically allow things with sharp claws near my delicates. Without getting paid upfront, that is. (Or downback. You know. Whatever.)

PS: Under music, I neglected to mention that Black Rebel Motorcycle Club totally rev my motor. Tsk. Here they are on Youtube, if anyone's interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_DE_SwGEps&feature=PlayList&p=6F891129A3ED99F4&index=2.

Sheet.

That link I posted needs to be copied/pasted and the period @ the end removed for it to take you where I want you to go.

Sorry.

Welcome!

It seems all is in order here, so I'm going to disappear back into my scary place now.

Hi Seph

Congrats, you are my core demographic. Really. It's like being the 1,000, 000 th customer, only way more anonymous. If you are a trauma nurse you actually are my perfect target reader.

(Really, ask the crew. When people axe me who my audience is, I say: "A 37 year old divorced single-mother trauma nurse." Everyone else is gravy.)

That's right, you're gravy, bitches! Own it! Smile
