There are places you can go to dig your own crystals. I've even heard of people who dig the crystals and then sell part of their crystals when they get back and make a lot of their money back. I am interested in doing one of these trips. Can anyone tell me more?

Arkansas. Watch out for wild pigs.

Yeah, 'cause there's so many of them: grunge rock, glam rock, hard rock, acid rock, rock-n-roll...

I know some bikers who will cook up some crystals for you. You know, so there's less digging.

Do consider this conversation.

"So, where did you go on your vacation?"
"Arkansas."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, what did you do on your vacation?"
"I dug rocks out of the ground."
"Are you sure you weren't, you know, on a chain gang?"
"Nope, vacation. Look at these rocks I got!"
'Those are lovely. Where are you going next year."
"Nebraska. They let you pick magic beans."
"Sweet!"

Ah, so you've heard of Arkansas, and their main attraction, a giant hole in the ground.

Btw, their other attraction is the governor's mansion, a triple wide trailer, I shit you not.

There's a place up here called crystal peak. It is indeed a quartz/crystal mountain. Massive quartz extrusion. about 100m tall, plenty of crystal finding to be done. I'd post pics but I don't have any with me right now.

hehe. I was hoping for something a bit closer to michigan. Seeing as how I'd love to dig some of my own non drug crystals out of the ground. However I'd like to do it somewhere nearby so I don't have to waste a lot of time driving to somewhere I'm going to dig rocks out of the ground.

It must be a guy thing. You know, the search for the ecstatically satisfying hole.

Cool

Personally, I would skip Arkansas and go straight to Nebraska for the magic beans. Wink

But I know my mom and brother went to a cool place in North Carolina that lets you mine.

Here's a link to a place that might be it. LOL Not sure, but it sounds similar to what they did. I still have some of the rocks that my mom collected there and one is way cool. A big hunk of green tourmaline. Yes, I'm a rock geek. Smile

Dunno, but I think she writes books- or was that short stories? Wink
