You mentioned you will be in Germany this spring. Any details available? I'm in a booking frenzy, and would be happy to know I am not missing anything.

No details yet, except that I'll be touring 5 cities, including Munich and Berlin. I'll let you know when I know more. Keep checking the blog. I don't want to do a mailing because I don't have the address book sorted by country and my US readers will mail me for three weeks going, "Munich? Why don't you come to Neuralgia, Illinois! We read."

No they don't. We don't like to talk about them. The shame of Illinois.

If you happen to do the Cell Phone Dance to a Rammstein ringtone, please upload video. Thanks.

If there's a Rammstein ringtone, you're entitled to douse the offender with lighter fluid and set him or her ablaze. I mean, they do that shit in concert...

Ah, Berlin. My memories of April-May 1999 come back to me. Charlottenburg. Kurfürstendamm. Checkpoint Charlie. Glinka-Strasse.

Berlin -- where the communication tower on the formerly East German side towers above the metro station so as to communicate -- something.

Berlin -- where, at the Brandenburg Gate, you can hear and watch the organ grinder as he grinds his organ.

Berlin -- where the parliament is topped by a huge, transparent, horizontally reinforced breast that you can walk around inside of.

I was there, and I saw that tower, heard that organ as it was ground, and rambled inside that monumental mammary and looked down upon the surrounding landscape, including Unter den Linden, the innumerable construction cranes, and the Tiergarten.

And then we walked our way through the Tiergarten back to the hotel, which was located just across from another metro station and a few blocks from the bombed Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.

This is like the synopsis of a Fritz Lange porno movie.

TV and FM radio signals.

Well, I have an opinion on that...

I'll take that as a compliment, Chris...

I think...

Razz

But, really, Germany was wonderful on that trip. Frankfurt, Berlin, Leipzig, Weimar, Blankenhein, Alsfeld, and Trier were on our itinerary at that time. Anyway, I hope you'll have some time for sight-seeing on your trip.

With breasts, Joe? What -- have they branched out from all-male action flicks?

Shocked

I'm shocked and surprised that Kar didn't share the German word for breasts and it's exact translation.

Also, AG, word to the wise, take with a grain of salt any German greetings Kar tries to impart. He once tried to get me to say to my mechanic, "Hans, du alte luftpumpe, wie geht's es heute?"

Translation, "Hans you old airpump, how goes it today?"

rammstein is so passé..

berlin is full of alternative music. last time i rocked in king kong club, it was like a museum for ADJ - all walls were red, pirate flags, minuature skulls and skeletons, other funny/cool stuff. music was super cool. i chatted up the bartender, because he was so cool too. i am so going back there
