So, two priests walk into a bar...  Reply with quote

Hello, all.

My name is Jessica and I am a 21 year-old gal hailing from good Ďole Maryland. I live in a small town that lies in the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains (aka Appalachian Chain) where my family has lived and operated our own business since the 1840ís.

Iím currently a full-time student at Mount Saint Maryís University where I am majoring in Accounting and Business Administration. I wanted to major in bad-ass accounting, but they didnít have a program.

I discovered Mr. Moore at my local Borderís bookstore, circa 2003, when I purchased the book Fluke. I would very much like to say that someone had recommended me this book or that I had done extensive research on what book I should read next, but the truth of the matter is, I thought the cover was funny. This proved to be my finest impulse buy ever (aside from my touch-lamp globe).

My favorite CM book to date is A Dirty Job.

Or Lamb.

Or Coyote Blue.

Or Fluke

Öah, screw it. I love them all.

P.S. I almost have an MBA.

P.S.S. I'm sorry I didn't finish that two priests walk into a bar joke.

Two priests walk into the bar.

The bartender looks up and asks, "What is this, a joke?"

Welcome Jessica!

Thank you for the welcome and the completion of the joke. Very Happy

(EDIT): You know... on my board, we usually welcome newbies with fruit baskets. It's an Incubus message board, so they look a little something like this:

There's also the less popular spam basket.

Long live liberty!

Blackbird pie is always delicious. And perhaps, Aubie! Maybe, just for you, grit my teeth and venture into DC. But only if we can stay out of the ghetto.

Welcome!

Having another humorous, well-spoken, and intelligent mooreon among us is always desirable. You will be shown great love and affection, various and sundry body parts, and showered with vast amounts of sexual innuendo and smarmy repartee.

Please do stick around, and post often. Smile

That depends on what's being done with the cake.

Welcome to the board. I hope you have a...what's that... uh-oh...OH NO....

SPAM THREADJACK!

I was reminded by the GuamSpam that Spam is considered a delicacy in many parts of the Pacific and Asia (including Hawai'i I think). When I was in Korea in 2004 there were large and tasteful (ha!) displays of Spam in stores, and I was told that Spam is often given as a gift when visiting for dinner. Apparently it goes back to the war days when there wasn't a whole lot of meat around, and canned spiced ham was just the ticket.

Here's a link to the Korean spam gift set: http://tinyurl.com/2ak9mc

yours for only 25,500 won (around 26 dollars)
Spam!

I'm heading back to Korea in March, so maybe I'll have a little spamkimchi
