So Far...(Low-Grade Spoilers)  Reply with quote

So, while I did pick up Bite Me the day it was released, I decided to revisit Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck before embarking upon it. I finished the 2nd book, had a smoke, then started on Bite Me. I immediately felt how much more spirited, lively, and just generally fresh and exciting the opening of BM is, compared to YS (this is aided, perhaps, by being told from Abby's POV). I'm savoring BM, so last night I left off where Jody mists out of captivity, but I'm eager to see where this book's going!

So pacing myself didn't work as well as I'd hoped - the story sucked me in and I finished it last night. The end satisfied and made perfect sense to me, and I dig Okata, and all's well that ends well, etc. I did race through it, though, so I'ma read it through once again at a more leisurely pace this week so I'm ready in case there's a quiz at the NY book signing this coming Saturday.

What's "I'n'I?" (Pseudo-Rasta dude says that a lot, what does that mean and how's it supposed to sound, spoken? "Eye-n-eye?" "Eee-n-eee?") (Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?)

The way I've heard it was "Eye-n-eye?"

If you can trust Nat E. Dred as a source...

^Thanks, Wonko. I was re-reading that bit today and it seemed smoother to me the second time around.

InI (pronounced eye-n-eye) is in reference to the belief that God is part of us. We are not just "I" but also with God, hence I and I.
