Ban them.

Right, because the gun ban would be the one law that criminals would respect and abide by.

I'd never have a chainsaw in mine. Or a walrus. And rattan. I hate rattan.

I was in a sporting goods store the other day, checking out the archery supplies (which, by the way, are just as deadly in the right hands as any firearm, but no-one is trying to ban bows and arrows) and this guy asks to see a rifle that's behind the counter. Guy behind the counter gives it to him, and he starts waving the thing around the store - including in my direction. I mentioned that he shouldn't do that (not my exact words), and the GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER says "It's ok, it's just a pellet gun."

Oh, well, just a pellet gun. I'd only be maimed. That's alright then.

Idiots.

In Canada, you have to have a firearms licence to even hold a gun - but if you have a regular licence you can buy hunting rifles and shotguns, if you have a restricted licence you can buy handguns and semi-auto assault-style rifles, but any firearms that can be made totally automatic are completely banned. Also, right now if you buy any firearm, it must be registered with the gov't., although that seems to be on the way out because the process is too expensive.

Me neither, I can never fit my dick in the barrel.

Relating this to your other gun thread, would you find it humorous if the gun went off while you were trying?

Well, that depends if I was stupid enough to take my play on words as a serious suggestion in the first place.

No concealed weapons. If you feel the need to carry a weapon as a matter of course, it should be clearly visible at all times. Everyone should be aware of how insecure and/or dangerous you are. And privately owned establishments should be able to set there own policies - no shirt no shoes, any weapon, no service

Nobody needs to be able to send messages around the world at light speed. This should be left to the trained professionals.

I'm with you on that. You should be able to carry weapons openly if you so wish, without soccer moms going into seizures of terror.
