Aside from FC and myself, how many of you have documented Native American ancestry?

Of those that don't, how many can document that their forbearers had valid visas before they arrived in the US or that they weren't "transported".

I was born here. I am not an immigrant. End of story.

All through history, people have competed for land on every continent. There were winners and losers. The natives lost. They have no special case. Hell, they even competed with each other, sometimes enslaved one another, even.

They lost as we, one day, will also lose.

That's the way of the world.

Let's not get romantic about it.

But, in the meantime, this is my country, and I hope that my countrry will do a decent Job of protecting its borders and selecting its citizens until it, too, is swept away by history, whether it be the Muslim hordes, the Chinese economic leviathan or the PC rot that besets it from within.

"But it's alright,
It's all right:
You can't be forever blessed.
Still tomorrow's gonna be another working day,
And I'm trying to get some rest,
That's all, I'm trying to get some rest." (Paul Simon)

I did actually. You exchanged sarcasm for a "considerably stronger" response.

Well, if it were me, I would allow someone to delete a post that they had second thoughts about without trying to draw them out concerning it.

But I guess that's just me.

If you post something, own it. If you have second thoughts about it, have them before posting it.

If it were me, that is.

"Wow.

What a place."

There. Happy?

I decided to repost because it fits even better after reading your comments and thinking of a few others that they remind me of.

And it's not, strictly speaking, sarcasm. You might want to check the definition.

I didn't say you were an immigrant. I was merely pointing out that very few people even know whether their forbearers arrived here legally or not. Nor are they aware whether they came here by choice or were criminals dumped here because they were too much trouble back in jolly old.

Sorry.

It sounded like the prelude to that "We're all immigrants" argument that I've gotten so tired off.

Rash of me.

What I mean is that Palmer is an ass. He was an ass when he signed in under John Palmer, and he's an ass as Simba Major. Only took two months for me to give the fuck up, but so be it.

Don't you love the first line. "I was born here."

And, "this is my country."

Palmer's picture should be next to disingenuous in the dictionary. I apologize to you all for letting this go on this long. Egads.

If the "I really mean it, I'm really going this time" goes on for weeks on end like it did last time, I'll put filters on him. I was really hoping not to have to do that.

Grrrrrrrrrr.
