I should have caught this sooner but I was months behind on Sunday comics:

I guess I'm a former, or should that be, recovering Wholigan.

Hello, My name is Wonko, and I'm a Wholigan. It's been several years since 'my last episode, but there was a time, when I couldn't wait a whole week between episodes....

I used to watch during the Pertwee/Baker/Davidson years but I really lost interest when they brought in the sixth Doctor. I can't even remember his name, I disliked his character so.

I did see a few of the Tennant era episodes a few years back when FX ran them, but I don't get a channel that carries it regularly, so I haven't seen more than a few since the mid eighties.

Exclamation Hi, Wonko! Very Happy

I live with somebody who owns a sonic screwdriver (yep, we sell those in our store)
& he hadn't found this particular site yet, which is kind of odd since it's a British site, but oh well...

Didn't know you were a Whooligan but ain't totally surprised-
expected it more than the Spanish Inquisition anyway... Twisted Evil

I'm kinda waiting for El to come back & see this but it looks like
we're the only ones not ensconsed in the deepest level of Hell...

S'ok, the right folks always come back eventually, eh? Wink

Zen, does your shop have a website?!? I buy Who toys more frequently than I care to admit, and I'd rather throw the business to someone I know!

(I own two Sonics - 10's and 11's - 5 12" figures, 2 5" figures, and a SFX TARDIS)

don't worry, I'll post something here as soon as it's up & running... Very Happy

My friend Chuck was a much bigger wholigan than I ever was. He used the school VTRs to videotape the episodes during the Tom Baker era so he could figure out the pattern and length of the doctor's scarf in order to have his mom knit as near a replica as possible.

I did something like that for my Sally costume from NIGHTMARE BEFORE XMAS-
was able to use my own VCR but painted the pattern myself
& now there's no way I could get into the damned thing, stupid weight gain... Sad

11's Sonic is HUGE!

My aunt started to learn to knit earlier this year and I asked her, as a joke, to make me a Doctor scarf... god bless her, she actually is!!!
I told her I would wear it with the "Jayne hat" my friend knit for me Laughing

I didn't think I'd ever enjoy another Doctor as much as I did Tennant. I was wrong.
