I liked Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man palette and Michaelangelo's.

My favorites: Gauguin's Tahitian Women and Seurat's Sunday Afternoon.

i have used their color schemer app for years. Drag a photo into the program and voila! the 5 prominent colors are identified, complete with hex numbers. you can export the palette as is, move the selectors to other areas to change the selected shades and if you want to have more than 5 colors from the picture you can create a new palette and drag the already identified swatches to that before moving the selectors to capture more shades.
