...as the board's list of registered members swells, that there are at least a half dozen "names" that I've never seen before. This makes me wonder, who the hell are these people?!!

No, as Lara posted somewhere yesterday, we are always happy to meet new members of the community. I was just wondering if some of you new folks would like to tell us about yourselves. I always seem to be the one asking this question, but I'm curious.

Here's me in a nut shell: I'm a 35-year-old, under-employed editor living in San Francisco, CA. I'm single and live with a cat named Weasel and a few thousand books. I'm a Saggitarius, wear a size seven shoe, and my favorite color is periwinkle.

Your turn.

Susan

I'm a 52-year-old divorced mom with an 18-year-old daughter (who got accepted at all the colleges she applied to Very Happy ). My day job is graphic design, but my preferred vocation is cross-stitch embroidery design. I'm petite, and only my hairdresser knows the true color of my hair (and she's not tellin').

I guess I will post a serious reply. I am 35, married with 2 kids(7 yr old son and 4 yr old daughter). I work for a publiv library. I spend 2 days a week running the library in the jail and 3 days a week as the acting teen specialist for one of the public branches.

My name is Eric and I'm a Chris-Moore-aholic. Phew! glad that's out of the way. I'm a 28 year old Gemini, who enjoys pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. No really, I'm a renaissance man of sorts living in Baltimore Maryland.

Well, since I skipped talking about myself last time around, I guess I can talk this time. I'm a 20 year old college student (4 days shy of 21, did you know that WAlMart now cards you if you are with someone buying alcohol. How embarassing, six days shy of my 21st and I get carded when I'm not even buying alcohol, but anyway . . .) I'm at MU studying advertising, and I work as a busgirl at Applebee's (the other part of my job there being, of course, to keep it real).

I found my first Chris Moore book in 1999 at a charity shop in Windsor for 10 pence. It was Practical Demonkeeping, and I figured, I'm practical and I keep demons. While it fell short as a guide book per se, I did enjoy it and continue to read his books today.

(Anyway, in accordance with the rest of this post, I will end with a parenthetical aside)

I'm a 33... wait, 34 year old woman who USED to work in advertising (for some reason this is important to mention (now I clerk at an independant bookstore (a freakin' dream job even though the pay is minimal and the boss a little anal (this may be because I am seriously NOT anal (unless you count when it comes to my dietary habits (no, not anything gross, just vegetarian (I have to stop saying vegan because I often find myself eating cheese without realizing it))))))))...

Anyhow, I also host a radio show about animals and rockabilly. I ain't never been hitched nor have I borne a child but I have bored several. I live in Northern California.

I like to tango and I tie a mean knot. I also have a VERY short attention spa-

OMG Can you believe after all this time I forgot to mention how I found out about CM? My ex-boyfriend gave me Practical Demonkeeping and Bloodsucking Fiends and I've read CM ever since (this was back in 97, I guess). I found the message board in 2001. I've been harrassing them ever since.

Play! Smile

I'm a married 44 year old mom of 2 boys (18 and 13)... and it seems a surrogate mom of several of their friends. I happen to really love that and do feel honored that they share their world and fowl language with me! Shocked

I go to work to rest and play. I've been a floral designer for 26 years. Yes, there really is no rest at a flower shop during a holiday. (10-16 hours at times) but! Now that the boys are older (and hubby) They help keep the palace clean or hear my "oh my God it's freaking Valentine's week" rant... Actually, I think many of the waifes that hang out here come to see my rants for cheap entertainment.

My best friend turned me onto Lamb last year and I'm now totally hooked on CM's books. I found the message board last year and have enjoyed all the posts and hope to join in more often Cool .

Jo

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas I read all of the CM books. I felt like a junkie trying to find private time to get a chapter or two read. Shocked
When I found myself divorced six years ago, I made a goal to read 20 books a year.....so far so good. I'm big on goals.

Trust me, as the 38 year old mom of a daughter (nine) and son (seven), two dogs, three cats and as of last night two hamsters, even bolting the bathroom door leaves me no privacy! I have become a bathtub reader. I need to invent plastic books! I teach Science to teens on good days and for days like today....I survive.

Since Christmas 2003 I have been enjoying reading here (and playing) .....I'm not big on commenting but this board has given me great topics to start my lessons at school! Razz

Hi, everyone -

I'm 41, separated, mother to a 12-yr-old daughter, 5'10" with red/blonde eyes and blue/gray hair. I'm an auditor right now but I sense a career change coming on. Unlike most of y'all, I have not one artistic or creative bone in my body but I do have an awesome pocket protector. Some of you may remember the PenDefender 2000 model. Sweet.

Last fall I picked up Fluke on a whim and I've been laughing ever since. Thank you, Chris.
Very Happy

I love the banter on the boards and really look forward to reading it at the end of the day. Thank you, members of the boards. Very Happy

Oh, and I live in Maryland. *nodding to my Baltimore, Bowie, and Annapolis neighbors*

Susan

My name is Michelle and I am 33 yrs old. I live in central WV and the stereo types are true for about half the states population. Guess which half I fall into. (damn no toothless smileys) I work (sort of) for the gov reading criminal records and incident reports all day. BTW a bit of advice, never never say: "What are you going to do? Kill me?" Trust me this never turns out well.

Making jewlery is my current artistic outlet.

I have three dogs (Nick-greyhound, Sam-bird dog, and Phil-little fuzzy mutt) and two cats (Elliott and Fermo).

Have been a Moore addict since Lust Lizzard. And yes, the title is what made me pick up the book.

Oh, and I am not very clever on the boards (havent found a way to do hand emphasis and gestures on the board therefore hindering my wit and intelligence.) However, I enjoy checking the quips and comments everyday after work.
