Did anyone see the Pam Anderson Roast on Comedy Central last night? And was anyone thinking Mavis Sand when Bea Arthur was doing her bit?

I see that Catch42 thought the same about Bea Arthur. I should have read before posting, but proof indeed that twisted minds tend to think alike.

Tucker Case -

Raziel -

I think maybe Sam Rockwell should play one of them. . .

Sam Rockwell is hilarious . . . him + author guy = awesomeness

Theo Crowe-- Matthew Lillard....he played SHAGGY for cryin' out loud.

Gabe Fenton--- Jason Lee...he's versatile and FUNNY.

Valerie Riordan---Miranda Richardson or Courteny Cox-Arquette

Dale Pearson--- Bruce Campbell or Ty Burrell (the jerk-ass "Steve" from Dawn of the Dead 2004)

Lena Marquez--- Julia Louis Dreyfus (Lena was difficult to cast)

Mavis Sand---Grace Zabrieskie (Better suited to body shape of Mavis I had in mind)

Molly Michon--- Darryl Hannah...the only way to go because she's still beautiful but in a kind of worn way, is in shape and kicked ass in Kill Bill.

Tucker Case----Brad Pitt: the definition of a geek in a cool guy's body.

Raziel---Owen Wilson...stupid, blonde, fairly good looking...I'd almost pick Brad Pitt for this role too, remember him from Meet Joe Black?

Voice of Roberto - John Leguizamo

Voice of Skinner: Come on Chris, that's all YOU...

Random Zombies: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Bruce Campbell, ME!!!!!

Hey AG! Longtime Lurker. Just had to answer this one!

Theo Crowe--Hugh Laurie

Molly Michon--Hudson Leick (Callisto from 'Xena'--she does sexy AND crazy!)

Gabe Fenton--Sam Rockwell

Valerie Riordan--Kyra Sedgewick

Dale Pearson--Bruce Campbell (whoever said this first, GENIUS!)

Lena Marquez--Jennifer Saunders (or Tracy Ullman)

Mavis Sand--Cloris Leachman (another genius suggestion)

Tucker Case--George Clooney (or Luke Perry)

Raziel--Alan Tudyk (or The Rock)

Roberto--Kevin Spacey

I just checked the posts and created my cast:

Molly Michon - Daryl Hannah and yes, Demi Moore would be cool too Wink

Theo Crowe - Jeff Bridges, as in Big Lebowski

Tucker Case - Owen Wilson, just fits perfectly

Lena Marquez - Salma Hayek, cause she's pretty

Raziel- Jude Law, completely naive

Gabe Fenton - George Clooney or Johnny Depp

Valerie Riordan Susan Sarandon, cause her second name is Abigail (doesn't make sense, I know)

Mavis Goldie Hawn, one bad surgery more and she would be perfect

Dale - Jack Nicholson would be fine but Keifer Sutherland would be the better Zombie

I think Alan Rickman (Snape from Harry Potter) would make a perfect mischievous Raziel. He has that deadpan serious look ... perfect for an angel that takes verbal directions literally...why else would he set zombies loose on the townsfolk? He does what you tell him to... he can't help it if you aren't specific enough...

Homework (posted to the correct thread this time!)  Reply with quote

I tried keeping 'em to potentially gettable names (with one or two exceptions) and current actors (no "Harrison Ford, but 20 years ago" stuff). Shred and enjoy.

Theo Crowe - Paul Rudd - good in everything from Anchorman to Clueless to 200 Cigarettes
- Edward Norton

Molly Michon
- Natasha Henstridge (aka "The Chick from Species"), who believe it or not can actually act when given a chance.
- Angie Everheart

Gabe Fenton
- David Schwimmer

Valerie Riordan
- tough one... maybe Ashley Judd would be willing to play a role that doesn't involve being a woman-in-jeopardy costarring Morgan Freeman?
- Milla Jovovich

Dale Pearson
- John Goodman
- Jack Black (although he might be too over-the-top even for Dale)

Lena Marquez
- Rosario Dawson

Mavis Sand

- Bea Arthur
- Lorraine Bracco (if she'd be willing to play an older role)

Tucker Case
- Gabriel Byrne
- Ed Burns

Raziel
- A bottle-blonded Keanu Reeves (could certainly nail the "stupid" aspect)[/b]

I think contractually on the Ashley Judd thing, she has to play woman in jeapardy costarring Morgan Freeman until she gets over whatever karma she's working out, otherwise it's a great suggestion.

My votes  Reply with quote

Theo Crowe -- Vince Vaughn. He's tall and has that amused observer attitude that Crowe does. Plus, I wanna marry him. So if you get him, I'm totally available to work for free on any aspect of this movie, including the getting 80 million lattes aspect.
--Another good choice is Hugh Laurie from House (and a million other things). He might actually be the better choice and I'm just blinded by the tallness of VV

Molly Michon -- Michelle Pfieffer. I mean, come on, she was freaking Catwoman. I think she manage to be a warrior babe of the outlands.
--Famke Janssen

Gabe Fenton -- I'm a fan of John Cusack for this one as well. I'm thinking Gabe's a nerdy-cute boy who doesn't realize it.
--Or Jason Bateman

Val Riordan--Rachel Weisz.

Dale Pearson--I'm a big fan of the Bruce Campbell suggestion here.

Lena Marquez -- I have to go with Salma Heyek on this one as well. (God, I feel like I'm cheating).

Mavis Sand -- Ann Morgan Guilbert, aka Yetta from the Nanny.

Tucker Case -- 100% Owen Wilson.
--Also rans: Josh Lucas, Brendan Frasier, Mark Ruffalo

Raziel-- Matt Damon. He's played a kind dumb angel before.

Funny, that's why I thoguht Sean Young would do well. She dressed up in a catwoman suit to get he part, but was denied.

Oh yes, John Cusack should be in the movie and he is a good choice for Gabe.
I don't really agree on Michelle Pfeiffer for Molly. She may have been the Catwoman, but she isn't the Warrior Babe of the Outlands. I just can't see her fighting with a Broadsword.

And Yetta for Mavis - NICE !
