New to the boards...  Reply with quote

Hello! My name is Becky and I am new to the board. I have been a lurker for a few years and after seeing Chris in Naperville, Illinois on Sunday, have decided to join up. I first started reading his books about 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I am a manager at a bookstore and get to spend my day talking about books, so I talk about his a lot. I live in Indiana, have wonderful friends, do charity work for the MS society (my mom has had it since 1996), do lots of community theatre, and spend much of my time reading. Reading is my favorite escape from the world. So yes, I wanted to say Hi, and to say that I am glad to be a "real" fan instead of a creepy lurker... hooray for me!

Hiya Rebekah. There's something about stripping, stacking, and posting. I'm not sure which order, though.

Welcome, Becky. We're always ready for new faces around here. Check the rules and give them all the respect they deserve; check out some of the items in Who's Who to learn more about us (and tell us about you if you wish); restrict spoilers about 'A Dirty Job' to that specific forum; don't swoon about Jeff's accent (he hates that); and watch out for the pica stick, thagomizer and stubor. We're wild, we're zany, we're way off kilter (and off-color), but mostly harmless. Except for Conspiracies Unlimited. He's completely harmless. And ignore Joelibris. He's just keyed up because I haven't sentenced him to any remedial nudity yet.

And do not feed any of the animals...

Except for me and Unimportant Lime. We like to be fed.

Welcome Becky. My uncle (in canadia) has MS too. Haven't seen him in a few years so I'm going to go visit him this summer (once I get motivated).

Glad you started posting instead of e-stalking us.

stop telling people you have relatives up there!!! It's quite unbecoming... sort of like telling people you like spotted dick... no one needs to know these things...

Welcome and thanks for making yourself known. It makes me nervous that other people watch us. I feel like I'm in a fishbowl.

Enough about me, welcome to the boards. Everyone is nice and friendly here. Of course, since you've been lurking you probably already know that. Nevermind. Have fun posting.
