My Name and Brits = No  Reply with quote

When I met Chris on Monday, he said that he thought I was British.

His line of thinking: UnimportantLime ---> Lime ---> Limey

Interesting. I never thought of that. I just thought I'd explain my line of thinking in creating the name...

Ever had Key Lime Pie? Whatever happened to the Unimportant Lime? What made the Key Lime so special?

Thank you goodnight.

I thought it was an 'American Gods' reference.

I guess that nobody reads the "Getting To Know You" survey around here. I knew.

Since that is the case my name is a song by the Presidents of the United States of America, for those of you who didn't read the getting to know you survey, or just didn't know.

OK, seriously? I thought it was because the guy in Anansi Boys (wasn't it?) was given a lime?

That's not where it came from? I'm confused, and I'm using a countdown post to write this so please be more clear in your answer.

Didn't I explain my name at the beginning of this thread well enough? Smile

I would never EVER EVER reference anything from American Gods. That wasted so much of my time that I'll never get back. Razz

OK, I read it 6 times and I finally got it. It's really obscure though, especially in light of the fact that there is an Unimportant Lime in Anansi Boys.

Now take that edge out of your typing young man.

Yes, he is very dry. I read it a few times when I read the Getting to Know You Survey before I got it.

His handle seems pretty straight forward to me.

He's a fruit with self esteem issues. No big deal. We all have issues of one kind or another.

'American Gods.' Jeez, I must be tired. The lime is part of 'Anansi Boys.' Carry on.
