My Dirty Job Daily Show Campaign  Reply with quote

As a rabid Daily Show fan, I want to put this out there...wouldn't you all love to see AG on the Daily Show, talkin' death and taxes with Stewart? I went to the Comedy Central website, and the only place I can find to email is the following link. Maybe if we inundate them with requests, they'll have no choice but to book our guy. And Stewart loves authors. Here's the link:

hmmm....but does the AG love the daily show? I'd want to know that before I vote. Wouldn't want him to go anywhere he doesn't want to.

God only knows where, but I feel like I remember reading a post where he said he'd love to go on the Daily Show. Then again, I'm a fiction writer, so I could just be making that up.

AG and Daily Show?  Reply with quote

Well, okay, I guess in my narrow world I couldn't imagine him NOT loving the Daily Show. It's just so...all of us. But you're right, I don't really know the man. I am assuming. So, AG, if you are listening and/or reading, and you don't like the Daily SHow, I apologize and I will do penance by flaying myself with discarded squirrel parts.

Okay - it's settled then. I'll go put in my two cents at the daily show site. That's for the idea QG!

Ah Jon Stewart. So going. I'd love to see the AG in his Hawaiian shirt talking politics.

Me too. Good idea. We should post what we write for entertainment value. Here you are:

If you haven't heard of the author Christopher Moore, you should. He has written nine books in all - his book Fluke was on the Today Show book club - and he is currently on tour for his latest book, A Dirty Job. Moore uses his writing as a delivery mechanism for his humor - the guy is laugh out loud funny, which is rare in writing. Even better, he is actually funny in person (I saw him speak at a signing, and the crowd was in stitches). He would definately make a good show with John Stewart and you should book him. Between the two of them everyone watching will have sore abs from laughing so much.

P.S. Moore pretty much hates Bush, so you know, he'll fit right in.

Good job, Kate! The P.S. ought to be the clincher!
