So is cusack but that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone. But a Brit? No, their american accents always seem stilted.

An exception being Hugh Laurie in House.

And as if Americans don't do stilted British accents?

YEs, indeed. I have yet to hear a decent English accent from an American with the exception of Affleck in Shakespeare In Love which was ok. And Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. But they are rare.

I never said americans weren't bad at british accents. I believe Brits do better American than vice versa.

Who ever plays Charlie has to be believably a native San Franciscan. His accent and cadence need to be very natural.
