Joelibris brought up a good point, why is there a lot of canada-bashing here, and all over?

mounties are pretty cool

hockey is fun (it's a sport you play on ice with a pu - oh just go look it up)

they talk funny

what else do you guys love/hate about our great white north buddies?

Only one good thing about canada, in three words: Degrassi Jr. High

Lake Louise is beautiful. You can skate on the lake amidst the ice sculptures in February. Sadly, last time I was there I was hobbling on a broken ankle and couldn't skate.

On the other hand Lake Memphremegog (sp?) has too many mosquitoes. And the exchange rate sucks right now.

Things are cheaper up there. You can buy Tylenol with codine. There highways are clean. You can get those yummy ketchup chips, and other weird food. Stanley Park is nice. They are having the winter olympics in 2010.

On the other hand, at customs they tell you the American's aren't going to let you back into the country if you don't have your birth certificate (that was before passports), most of their food taste bland, they are on the metric system.

is this supposed to be a selling point??? because if that were possible here, there would be a hell of a lot more drug addicts... aside from that, there is a reason why some drugs are by perscription only -- taking meds inappropriately can lead to health problems for the user, as well as those around them... mis use of anti-biotics lead to drug resistan strains of bactiria, for one...

fuck you, and your drug policy, canadia!!!

Hey, I know kids that go up there just to buy the stuff. You know, after they visit the bars because they can't go to them here for another three years.

It may appear that we have a secret agenda against the USA- we sell booze to your youngsters, and I'm talking about the good stuff - not the watered down crap you guys would expect. Downtown Windsor in the summer is a suburb of Michigan, with underage teenagers leaking brains out their ears. We sell cheap presription drugs to your seniors, (and anyone else that has the right money). They show up by the busload in front of the drugstores. If they have any money left over after booze and drugs, we don't take taxes from any Casino/racetrack/Bingo winnings, so the enticement is overpowering. Again, there are busload. If any american shows up who appears to question the motives, we confuse that person with either French, or the metric system until they drink or take drugs, and hopefully leave all their money behind. So far, you americans are cooperating quite nicely thank you. The French Strippers are reserved for the hardcore cases like CU. We're waiting.
