any name, in the all new and improved (OK, new anyway) PICK A MIDDLE NAME FOR BLEU'S BABY GIRL poll.

Here's the scoop. Bleu and her man are in total disagreement over the middle name of their soon to be baby girl. So I stepped up to the plate and decided to do it democratically.

I'm honestly surprised that they agreed on a first name. I was prepared to have to drug them both, and fill out the birth certificate myself so the poor child would have a name before she was 12.

Pick one from the list, OR suggest something else. Just choose wisely, before the little one has to suffer through life with no middle name.

Take your time and fill in the blank Keira ________________ Mace.

(oh and one rule, no middle names begining with 'U') Very Happy

Choosing a name is hard. I picked Rose and it looks like most of the others have too. I took the easy way out and gave my son my Father's middle name. I couldn't even decide on his first name. I'm too indecisive. I thought I'd wait until he was old enough to pick his own name but then it would have been Peacock.

Good luck!

Names are tough to agree on, especially if either parent is particularly passionate about a particular name.

My husband and I didn't want to use any names from either side of the family for any of our three kids. That made it interesting. We tried to pick relatively normal, yet not terribly common, names.

And, yes, please do avoid the U middle names. Can you imagine????

Good luck!!!

I voted rose, because the full name is so musical that when one of her parents shouts it out in anger, as parents do, they will be placated by the mere melody of it. Otherwise, I suggest Aurora.

I picked Adela because I have not heard it before. Unique is good.

I chose Morgan because it flows with the Celtic-ness of the other names.
My kids have very unique names- Odin Blackbear and Talon Buffalo Heart. I like their individuality and uniqneness. I've always been very proud of my unique middle name as well - Kianu. It has a cool meaning and a good story behind it.
If I'd had a girl, I would have chosen Maudie Mae. Keira Maudie Mace. Pretty good to me. Not many of my friends agreed with that choice if I'd had a girl, though.

Yeah, so did I Lisa, and for the same reason. I also liked the "flow" of Keira Adela Mace, and the fact that her initials would be KAM.

So who's Bleu? Because Bleu would be a lovely middle name to follow Keira.

Or...

Suzanne (instead of Sue)
Noelle
Leigh or Lu
Grace (it even rhymes with the last name... ok, maybe not Grace)
Joan

You hafta say the names aloud to choose one. Beginning the middle name with a vowel, or with an R which immediately follows the ra in Keira, is awkward.

Bleu is my sister. And despite the protests she will give for this suggestion, it does sound lyrical. Smile

Keep 'em coming peeps. Good suggestions all!

How about Kiera Pepper Mace? No one would ever mess with her with that bad ass name. Twisted Evil

I also like Adela. Kiera Adela Mace rolls off the tongue nicely.

And I like Bleu! (Never ask a Libra).

Congrats on the future new neice!

I like Adela.
And zip's suggestion, Noelle.
Both sound lovely.

I picked Eve because I like that name and am currently reading Paradise Lost, but the full name sounds better with Morgan. Go with Morgan.
